Drive toward Titusville, FL to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. (Please note, this is NOT in Merritt Island, Florida… It is in Titusville, Florida.)

Titusville, Florida is easily accessible from most locations from Interstate 95 (I-95).

Directions from I-95 towards Titusville

Take exit 220 for FL 406 East (Garden St.)

Follow FL 406 East through Titusville.   Keep going straight, over US 1 (about 6 miles) and cross over the Max A. Brewer Causeway bridge.

Go over the A. Max Brewer Memorial Bridge. Continue on the road for approximately one mile.

You will enter the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore.  Keep driving for about another mile until…

You see the brown sign directing you to Haulover Canal. (Follow these signs, as Beacon 42 is about 2 miles past Haulover Canal.)

Turn left onto this road.  You will PASS Black Point Wildlife drive.  Keep going.  After about 4 miles the road will end, and you will see another sign directing you to Haulover Canal….

(If for some reason you miss the turn, don’t worry, just go to your next stop light and make a left.)

At the Stop Sign, turn left onto Courtenay/Kennedy Pkwy.

Follow Courtenay/Kennedy Pkwy about 6 miles.  You will go over the Haulover Canal Bridge – keep driving. About 1.5 miles after the bridge take a right onto 83rd street; there is a sign that says “Beacon 42 Boat Ramp.”  (You should see a giant golf ball on the left and in front of you.) Follow that dirt road to the very end. You will see a parking area and boat ramp. That is where we will meet for your tour.

Be sure to stop and use the restroom in town before coming out on the Refuge. Sometimes port-o-toilets are at the launch site, but we can not guarantee as they are there at the discretion of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. If you have any questions, you can call us at (407) 361-9969 or (407)-519-8711 and we will be happy to help with directions over the phone.

We look forward to your Adventure with us!

FYI the directions above From I-95 towards Titusville to Beacon 42 Boat Ramp have an error. I had to call BK Adventures since they didn’t match the you tube video. I’ve copied the section it’s in followed by the piece that should be deleted.

Turn left once you get to the stop sign onto this road (Courtenay/Kennedy Pkwy.) Follow this road about 6 miles until you see the drawbridge, just over the drawbridge, take the first left.

Follow this road about 6 miles.

The left would take you to the Haulover Canal launch. Follow this road about 6 miles is repeated from above it.

The tour company has a building at 485 N Washington Ave, Titusville, FL 32796 called BK Adventure Florida – Bioluminescence Tours. If I am arriving as a backpacker without a car. Does your company provide transport from this building to the meeting point provided (Beacon 42 Boat Ramp on the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge).
